Former President Trump has yet again announced he would influence FIFA to remove upcoming World Cup matches from a designated city based on municipal governance, with Boston now being the latest targeted location to face such warnings from the American leader. Furthermore, Trump remarked he would contemplate parallel steps against Southern California for the 2028 Summer Games due to perceived security concerns.

Even though Trump lacks formal power to directly relocate either event, he can lobby the respective governing bodies managing each event to shift locations.

The comments were made during a news conference with Argentinian president Milei, who was present in the White House following the revelation of a multibillion-dollar rescue package for the Argentine economy. The journalist also asked if the situation could result in the revocation of hosting duties for the expanded World Cup.
