Helicopter Spins Uncontrollably into Palm Fronds at Popular Southern California Shoreline
An aircraft hovering above a popular California shoreline unexpectedly began spiraling wildly, ultimately losing altitude and smashing into a row of palm groves as beachgoers looked on.
Videos uploaded on the internet depict the helicopter commencing to spiral over Huntington Beach then descending in the direction of the border of the beach, where it gets stuck between palms and a set of stairs near the shoreline route.
Rescue Operation Details
The Huntington Beach fire department reported five persons were taken to hospital involving a pair who were in the helicopter and were “rescued from the debris” following the crash on that day.
Three individuals on the pavement were harmed. Details on their injuries were not yet released.
What led to the incident was not yet disclosed.

Authorities indicated the chopper was linked to an annual “Cars with Copters” fundraising event scheduled for the next day.
